A reconcilable B2B receivables review

A practical sequence for checking aging, limits and exceptions before taking a commercial action.

B2B Credit Control is most useful when a dashboard number is treated as the start of a review, not the decision itself.

Start with the source boundary

Confirm the Shopify store, import status and snapshot date. If the import is partial or blocked, do not use the headline totals for a collection decision. Open the status detail and resolve the missing permission, rate limit or source-data issue first.

Reconcile before interpreting

Open the company and expand the orders behind the balance. Check the currency, payment-term source, due date and payment state. A USD exposure and an EUR exposure remain separate; an empty due date is a review exception, not a guessed date.

Treat limits as internal controls

A configured limit expresses the merchant's policy for a company and currency. Compare the transparent available amount with the merchant's own credit policy, then use the exception queue to decide what requires attention. The status is not a credit score and does not authorise an automatic action.

Keep the evidence

Export a company statement only after checking the rows. Keep the statement with the review period and the operator's own commercial record. For the data boundary, read the B2B Credit Control privacy policy.
