Getting started
Connect a store, run the first scan and review findings before any customer data change.

Customer Data Health is a Shopify admin app for finding and reviewing duplicate candidates and customer data-quality issues. It is designed around an explicit merchant decision: a scan can explain a finding, but it never changes a customer by itself.
Before you begin
Install the app from Shopify Admin and confirm that you are authorised to administer the store. The app follows the Shopify Admin locale automatically; it does not add a separate language selector.
The safe path
- Open Customer Data Health from Shopify Admin.
- Complete onboarding and review the data and retention boundary.
- Start a scan and wait for the results to finish.
- Open an issue to read the explanation and inspect masked examples.
- Review the proposed correction or duplicate action.
- Confirm only the changes you want applied.
- Check the audit history and privacy settings after the run.
Scans, issue review and previews are read-only. A write starts only after the merchant confirms the reviewed action.
What the app does not do
Customer Data Health does not verify a person's identity, validate an address against an external registry, provide legal or privacy advice, or guarantee that every data-quality issue has been found.
If a scan is empty
An empty result can mean the store has no supported findings, the scan is still running or the store connection needs attention. Check the run status and the issue filters before treating it as a clean database.
